Experience: 5 years teaching – all at De Duprey

Education:  Bachelors from Western Michigan, and middle school math, science and social studies endorsements

What's her teaching style?:  “Very hands-on, inquiry-based.”  She runs science hands-on labs in her classes three to four times per week.

What does she do that’s innovative?:  She did research this summer in El Yunque forest in Puerto Rico, and is bringing biology curriculum back to the classroom from this trip.

What about her personal life?:  She’s married and lives in West Town.  Her family is from South Haven, Michigan, “just on the other side of the lake.”  She’s also a volunteer for the Adler Planetarium.
